I am always in awe of people who can take a simple thing and turn it into something truly beautiful. I am moderately handy, but I’m not actually very creative. I’m good at following directions in a paint by number sort of way but can’t actually paint, if you know what I mean. I recently watched an artist take votive candle making to a whole new level. She was actually dipping the candle into different colors of wax and creating layers. She then carved the candle with shapes and designs to expose the layers of color. It was absolutely amazing to watch and she sold them as fast as she could make them.
